Description

"L'Opaline Verte" is a signed painting by Jules Cavaillès, a renowned French artist from 1901 to 1977. His work often featured still life compositions with a focus on vibrant colors and delicate details. This piece showcases the beauty of green opaline glass vase and flowers composition, reflecting Cavaillès' skillful handling of light and color.

Jules Cavaillès was born in Carmaux in the Tarn region of France in 1901. After initially working as a draughtsman, he moved to Paris in 1922 to study at the Académie Julian. After completing his studies he moved to La Ruche, a bee-hive shaped structure providing a warren of studios for many artists in the 15th arrondissement of Paris.
