A very elegantly drawn Italian Neoclassical Empire walnut and parcel gilt scroll end bench or recamier, circa 1810.
Graceful scroll end adorned in walnut, clad in light blue velvet, elevated by parcel gilt flower head roundels, stud work, and molded apron. Supported by twin baluster-turned leg end supports on a rectangular plinth base, mirroring at the back for freestanding versatility.
With its slim profile, this bench suits bed ends or bay windows perfectly. Though Italian in origin, it resonates with French Empire style. A harmonious blend of form and function, echoing timeless Neoclassical aesthetics.
