Description

The black and white rug, a creation of Italian architect and designer Piero Lissoni in 1995, is a limited edition masterpiece (14 pieces) intricately crafted by Sardinian weavers from Dorgali. Showcasing Manhattan, it features a red-highlighted latitude line accentuating SOHO. The rug employs the "annodato" technique, a luxurious cut even pile of Sardinian fleece wool.

Its unique depiction, artisanal origin, and rare technique make it an exceptional fusion of art and design, representing both Lissoni's creativity and Sardinian craftsmanship, capturing the essence of Manhattan's urban intricacies in a textile masterpiece that remains a testament to innovation and cultural connection.
